India's Richest Man, Builds THE WORLD'S MOST EXPENSIVE HOME, Worth $1B in Mumbai! Wow!

Anyone invited to this house warming party?

India's richest man, and Forbes's fourth richest man, Mukesh Ambani, has built the world's most expensive house in Mumbai. It is estimated to be worth a little over $1 billion. The construction has 27 stories, is 173 meters high and has 37,000 square meters of floor space (more than the Palace of Versailles). It contains a health club with a gym and dance studio, at least one swimming pool, a ballroom, guestrooms, a variety of lounges and a 50-seater cinema. There are three helicopter pads on the roof and a car park for 160 vehicles on the ground floors. The home boasts an unbelievable staff of 600. Extensive room for a family, Ambani, his wife and 3 children - wow!

How does this Stanford University drop-out make a living? Energy. At age 52, he owns Reliance Industries, already India's most valuable company, recently bid $2 billion (mere double the cost of his home) for 65% stake in troubled Canadian oil sands outfit Value Creation. Firm's $14.5 billion offer to buy bankrupt petrochemicals maker LyondellBasell was rejected. Since September company has sold treasury shares worth $2 billion to be used for acquisitions. Late father, Dhirubhai, founded Reliance and built it into a massive conglomerate. After he died, Mukesh and his brother, Anil, ran the family business together for a brief time. But siblings feuded over control; mother eventually brokered split of assets, with Mukesh getting oil and gas and petrochemicals businesses. Still at odds with Anil over gas supply agreement; awaiting Supreme Court's final ruling. Special interest, he all so owns the cricket team, Mumbai Indians.
